Have you experienced these issues with BlogRush?
by Robert Dobes | November 8th, 2007
If you haven’t heard about blogrush then for the past few weeks you must have lived somewhere in a jungle. There has been a huge buzz going around about this traffic building service created by John Reese (Income.com). I signed up right at the beginning when blogrush was released. From the start I was hoping this could really work and I still believe it could, however some major issues will need to be addressed before it will work.
This service is now in “Phase2″ after manual review of every single blog in the network and removing those that didn’t meet their guidelines. About 10,000 blogs were disapproved and removed. Now in the phase2 one would expect things to get better but I am still experiencing problems that really put blogrush in bad position.
One Big Issue
About a week ago I went to my blogrush dashboard and to my surprise I found myself in someone else’s account. How could that happen? I have no idea but I am sure it is not a good thing. Now about a week later it just keeps happening even after I emailed to their customer support notifying them about the issue. This brings me to another problem.
Customer Support
Ok, you guys at blogrush you need to answer your emails! Especially when it’s about an issue as important as the one I experience. I sent them an email as soon as I found out about it and I haven’t heard a word from them. They don’t have to say much. Just “thank you for the report” or “can you send us more details” would be enough. Well, I guess they don’t care enough. Yeah, I know. They are busy reviewing blogs.
Is it really worth it?
Is it really worth it to devote a big chunk of your blog space to the widget that is supposed to bring you tons of free traffic? At this stage and based on my experience I have to say I am not convinced. My statistics show an average 4 clicks per 5000 impressions and I know it’s not just me. After (not willingly) seeing several different account statistics I know they are experiencing about the same CTR (click through rate).
I will give blogrush another about couple of weeks and if it will continue going in the same direction I will remove it from my blog.
Have you had a better experience with blogrush? I would love to hear it so please let us all know about it by leaving a comment below.
